Profile: About us

We started out three years ago as South London's newest and rawest punk rock band. People (mainly our parents) said we were irritating little hooligans with a remarkable ability to write music and play their instruments. We like to think we’re a bit less irritating now but make up your own minds.

In 2005 we got massive airplay on XFM, won the XFM Rock School and went on to support the Kaiser Chiefs at the XFM Winter Wonderland…we’ve played to over 60,000 people at the O2 Wireless and Reading Festival, won Best Live Unsigned Act at 2007’s Vodafone Live Music Awards ….And we got itv.com following us for some of our journey. What a great year!

We’ve also released our version of Led Zeppelin's Rock and Roll as a tribute to the legendary band.

Profile: 2nd Life Lovers Paul and Rhonda

ABOUT US: Paul and Rhonda by Rhonda aka Heart Wishbringer

We’re just two normal people who happened to fall in love online and just want to be together – but we live on opposite sides of the Atlantic ocean.

In Second Life, Paul’s a 7-foot vampire called Joe Stravinsky. He has a mohican and a ponytail – quite different from his real life hairstyle, as you can see from our pic! I’m a pale (but interesting!) goth called Heart Wishbringer. I have white, black or pink hair depending on my mood.

I met Paul, from Wales on January 11th, 2005 in a virtual club owned by one of his friends. On this night, I never would have guessed that I would meet a man that would fill my heart with so much love.

We are living proof that dreams can come true. When our avatars on Second Life met and fell in love, it was a one-in-a-million chance. But then to have our first real-life meeting documented for E-Life – well, we feel totally blessed. We hope you enjoy our incredible journey as much as we did.

When We Met...by Rhonda

Joe and I finally met in London on July 19th, 2007. He proposed to me on the same day at an Italian Cafe on the river Thames after we ate a wonderful dinner. The first 24 hours that we were together was nothing short of Wonderful, but we had a hard time finding 'alone' time.

The very moment I landed at Heathrow Airport in London I was hooked up to a microphone by the crew from ITV ( Films of Record ). So, needless to say our meeting wasn't very private. Matter of fact we had no time alone for the first day we were together. Movie cameras, reporters, and photographers filmed us meeting, and recorded our cries of joy when we met!

We held each other for a good 30 minutes and didn't let go. I thought I was going to faint from the excitement of it all, and Joe didn't want to look up from my shoulder where he kept his face hidden in my neck. I kept kissing him and holding him, it was really nice for the both of us to finally be able to touch each other after being virtually wed for 2 1/2 years. And, to make the proposal even more beautiful.. he proposed to me in the rain... as it began to rain on us just after we finished eating, and we were sitting outside in the rain eating at this Italian Cafe... and he proposed right there... and he knows how much I love the rain! How romantic is that?!
